How to Change from Uppercase to Lowercase Retroactively – Hotkeys Version
I’m sure we’ve all done this, especially for those of you who can’t touch type. Oops, I’ve typed loads of text in all caps. And obviously, continuing on from the above, you want to know how to turn off the first letter capital from your sentences if you have already written the text and don’t want to retype everything again.
Luckily, there is a very quick fix for this and it’s by way of a hotkey.
Hotkeys are really cool and all you have to do is press a few buttons on your keyboard and the action that you want gets done. They cover all kinds of things. The most popular and widely known ones are copy and paste (Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V)
The hotkey for this is:
Shift + F3.
Simply highlight the text, then press Shift with the F3 key. The text will change through the three different options:
- All CAPS
- First Letter CAPS
- No CAPS
It might not be perfect, but for our needs it’s more than good enough.
